Crystal Jade La Mian Xiaolongbao

Crispy noodles with beef. Very fragrant
Their xiaolongbaos are really good! The best I’ve tasted so far (although they do look kind of drab and unappetising in this picture. hehe)
Other stuff we had — crispy eel (in the background), and la mian with pork ribs
Great World City outlet
dim sum

Char siew puff pastry (char siew sou) — super melt-in-your-mouth!
Scallop thingers
Fried prawn dumplings (meng har gok). This, however, is not their best dim sum dish
Steamed radish cake. They also have a fried version, which is pretty good, too
Braised fish head in black bean sauce… my parents love this
Wrapped dough fritters. You can’t eat it like that, though — it HAS to go with sauce! (not shown in picture)
Peking duck!
Yummy!
Asia Grand Restaurant, at Odeon Towers. We love the dim sum here, and the service is always excellent

AMAZING roast goose at Shum Zeng
Sharks fin and chicken conpoy soup, also at Shum Zeng
High tea at the Intercontinental Hotel (Tsim Sha Tsui)
Typical cha chan teng breakfast — greasy and good ![]()
Breakfast
Fruit and coconut sago dessert at some cha chan teng
Seafood at Lei Yue Mun
More seafood
Siew Mai — we had dim sum at some restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui. I like the dim sum in Hong Kong because it’s more flavourful than the kind you get in Singapore.
Zha liong (wrapped dough fritters) — it’s really really good. I love having this when I’m in Hong Kong
Fried glutinous rice. So yummy and fragrant!
The obligatory mango desserts (from Xu Liu Shan) one has to have when in Hong Kong
(although, admittedly, Xu Liu Shan is a popular chain of dessert cafes, so their desserts are probably not the best you can get in Hong Kong…)
